All wrapped up before the holidays: how long does it take to make a Will?

By Samuel Amer

“How long does it take to make a Will” is one of the key questions you’ll probably be asking when considering whether you have time to create a Will. Everybody has busy lives and you may not always have the time to come to the solicitors to make a Will, but it seems we’re always being told how important it is. How many times have you thought “I must make a Will because of the kids, the house or your partner” but you’ve never quite got round to it? More than once I am sure!

And now with summer on its way and holidays being booked, the question of “have we got our Wills sorted” rears its head once again.

Contrary to what you might think, getting your Wills sorted doesn’t take long at all. Here at Gamlins Law we pride ourselves on a quality service that is efficiently delivered. From the point of first meeting, to having the Wills signed, we aim to have your matter completed in approximately three weeks.

Gone are the days of having to book a whole day off to see us about making your Will. At Gamlins Law we offer both early and late appointments, along with lunch hour appointments so you can start making your Will as quickly and easily as possible. Your advisor will also offer you the choice of receiving your draft Wills by email, so you can inspect and approve them on the go.

You may also think that you have to take a whole day off, just to come in to sign your Wills. But as well as being able to offer both early, late and lunch time appointments to do this; did you know we can now send your final Wills out to you with a comprehensive signing guide? As well as having the confidence that your Wills are being executed correctly, this means you are now able to complete them in your own home when convenient for you.

Wills and legal solutions aren’t some sort of antiquated “off the peg” service. At Gamlins Law we offer a tailored service that works around you. By utilising technology, and understanding that life isn’t always straightforward, we can work with you to help make your Wills swiftly and in a way that is convenient for you. So hopefully this summer, the only thing you have to worry about is whether you’ve packed enough sunscreen!
